Expression of Interest

Province of Nova Scotia’s Labour Skills and Immigration Department

This program, designed to support entrepreneurs in Pictou County, is made possible by a generous $221,025 contribution from the Province of Nova Scotia’s Labour Skills and Immigration Department and will be available for three years, starting in 2023.

“We realized early on in our conversations with aspiring entrepreneurs that there is a significant desire amongst newcomers to contribute to our community economically,” said Wade Tibbo, Manager of Business Development and Innovation at the Pictou County Partnership. “I am very excited to announce the Province of Nova Scotia’s Immigration and Population Growth branch of the Department of Labour, Skills and Immigration has approved a three-year funding agreement. This agreement will allow the Pictou County Partnership to deliver the Newcomer Business Navigation program in Pictou County. We are thrilled to begin this work.”
