Pictou County Partnership appoints Jason Guidry as Chief Executive Officer.

PICTOU COUNTY, N.S. – September 18, 2026 – The Pictou County Partnership Board of Directors is pleased to  appoint of Jason Guidry as the organization’s new Chief Executive Officer.

Guidry joins the Pictou County Partnership from the Halifax Partnership, where he serves as Director, Trade and International Partnerships. With more than 20 years of economic development experience, he brings expertise in Business Retention and Expansion (BRE), business growth, international trade and investment, and strategic partnerships.

Following a thorough recruitment process, Board Chair Cindy Brown said Guidry’s experience and collaborative approach align well with the Partnership’s strategic direction.

“The Board recognized that Jason has the right mix of experience and enthusiasm to build on Pictou County’s economic strengths and pursue new opportunities in strategic sectors,” said Brown. “His experience in Business Retention and Expansion, relationship building and partner alignment will help strengthen our work with businesses and partners to support economic growth and investment readiness.”

Guidry’s appointment comes as the Partnership begins implementing its 2026–2031 Strategic Plan, with a continued focus on supporting existing businesses, strengthening regional partnerships and helping Pictou County businesses identify and pursue emerging economic opportunities.

“I am excited to join the Pictou County Partnership and work alongside municipalities, Pictou Landing First Nation, the Partnership team, businesses, and economic and community partners across the region,” said Guidry. “It is an exciting time across Nova Scotia, with new opportunities emerging for businesses and communities. From entering new markets and supply chains to pursuing procurement opportunities and investing in growth, I look forward to helping Pictou County businesses connect with the opportunities ahead.”

Guidry will officially begin his role as Chief Executive Officer on Monday, September 28, 2026.

The Pictou County Partnership Board of Directors extends its appreciation to Scott Ferguson for his leadership and commitment while serving as Interim CEO and for providing continuity to the organization throughout the recruitment process.
