Pictou County Partnership Announces CEO Transition
Pictou County, NS– The Pictou County Partnership, an organization dedicated to fostering community collaboration and regional economic development, is announcing a significant leadership transition. The organization’s Chief Executive Officer, Scott Ferguson, will be transitioning to a new career opportunity within the technology sector, effective December 2023. This move reflects his commitment to exploring fresh avenues for professional growth and leveraging his expertise in the ever-evolving tech landscape.
“Since Scott Ferguson joined our organization in November 2021, he has played a crucial role in guiding the Partnership through a period of notable growth and achievement. His leadership has been characterized by the cultivation of a collaborative community environment and the expansion of Pictou County Partnership's regional presence,” said Ryan Fraser, Chair of the Pictou County Partnership Board of Directors
Reflecting on his time with the organization, Ferguson expressed his gratitude. "I have had the privilege of leading the Pictou County Partnership during a transformative chapter in our organization's history," said Ferguson. "I am proud of our accomplishments, and I have confidence in the capabilities of our dedicated team to continue advancing our mission under new leadership."
As part of the transition plan, the Pictou County Partnership's Board of Directors will initiate a comprehensive search for a new CEO in December 2023, identifying a capable and forward-thinking leader who will build upon the organization's successes.
Effective December 1, 2023, Wade Tibbo will assume the role of Interim CEO. Wade Tibbo is currently the Director of Business Development and Innovation at the Partnership. The Board of Directors is confident this will ensure the momentum of the organization will be maintained.
The Pictou County Partnership extends its immense appreciation to Scott Ferguson for his leadership and substantial contributions during his time with the organization, wishing him the best as he embarks on new endeavours.
