Community Impact Sector Support

The Pictou County Partnership's Community Impact team is dedicated to increasing the capacity of the community impact sector.

This new, innovative program has been created to support Community Impact Organizations (non-profits and not-for-profits) in accessing vital resources and ultimately strengthen their impact within the County. Our purpose is to help these organizations become more financially resilient to do what they do best - support our communities here in Pictou County.

Key initiatives include:

  • Fund development support (grant locating, writing, and reporting support)

  • Matching organizations with volunteers from the community (more details coming soon)

  • Social enterprise development support

  • Resource navigation and facilitation of collaboration opportunities

Grant Connect is a portal designed for charities and non-profits to search for and track funding opportunities from foundations, government, and corporations. This platform is a powerful tool that aggregates a vast array of grant opportunities from various sectors, making it easier for organizations to find and apply for the funding that best suits their needs.

Organizations can now access Grant Connect free of charge at the Pictou County Partnership office. Make use of our provided iPads and laptop or bring your own device!

Organizations can take part in workshops geared toward grant readiness, financial literacy, and more. Workshops can be attended in person or through our virtual portal on-demand. 

 

 

Pictou County Partnership is fostering the growth and development of social enterprises in the county. If you currently operate a Social Enterprise or are interested in creating one, we provide one-on-one support and a variety of resources to help make your vision a reality.

Looking to engage community members to support your cause? Organizations can now access a volunteer talent pool with local youth, newcomers, and other community members.
