We’re proud to share our latest rural settlement resource:
Exploring Pictou County Libraries in 360º
This 360º video is designed to support newcomers settling in Pictou County, Nova Scotia, by offering a virtual introduction to our local public libraries — welcoming community spaces that provide free services, internet access, programs, and support for all.
Libraries can look different around the world. In Pictou County, they are at the heart of our communities — places to learn, connect, and feel at home. This video helps newcomers get familiar with the library environment, learn about services, and feel confident visiting in person.

This video, made possible with funding from the Office of Healthcare Professionals Recruitment – Province of Nova Scotia and Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, is part of the Pictou County Partnership’s effort to create welcoming, accessible resources for newcomers.
Special thanks to our partners at the Pictou-Antigonish Regional Library and New Brooklyn Media for bringing this project to life — and to the dedicated library staff, volunteers, and community members who participated in the video.
